Venkat Krishnaswamy (Swamy)
Board of Directors
Swamy serves as a member of the Board of Directors of WithumSmith+Brown Global Assurance. He brings over 25 years of experience in consulting and
assisting mid-sized businesses in a variety of industries,
managing start-up's including challenges of growth, hiring key
personnel, cash flow and organizational issues. Swamy has provided
these companies with assistance on such matters as Information
technology consulting, mergers and acquisitions.
Swamy has a
diverse background working for international firms as well as
serving as a co-founder and CEO for a start-up which he turned
around for a successful merger with a publicly listed company. Prior
to joining WS+B Global Assurance, Swamy co-founded an IT Consulting
company called Transys Technologies
which he grew to a successful consulting
practice with outsourcing centers in
India. He was the CEO / President
of the firm and was responsible for securing prestigious outsourcing
projects from diverse industries including Financial Services,
Telecom, Retail and Manufacturing. Transys
also spun off a Training company called "TransEd"
to offer state of the art training for aspiring IT consultants.
Transys was merged with a publicly
traded company now called Quintegra
Solutions (a CMM Level 4 company). Earlier, Swamy was the President
and CEO of Hexaware Technologies which
is now an actively traded public firm in
India. Swamy was amongst the first
hires of the core team of Hexaware which
today is amongst the top 10 software consulting firm in
India
with CMM level 5 certification. Swamy
began his career as a field engineer with erstwhile Burroughs
corporation (now Unisys Corporation) and was trained extensively in
their Small and Large scale systems (B and A series) of Burroughs in
Hong Kong and USA.
Swamy is the
author of several articles relating to IT issues
impacting businesses. He is a member of several organizations
dealing with IT issues, including the New Jersey Technology Council
(NJTC) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
A graduate of Bombay
University with a BE degree
(Honors) in Electrical Engineering. Swamy is
also actively involved in the community. He serves as a volunteer in
various social organizations in the US
and India.
He has also supported the Red Cross and Tsunami relief efforts. Swamy
has been involved in various fundraising activities for charity to
third world countries including AIDS and Asha for education. He
resides in Mercer County,
NJ.
