Ram serves as a
member of the board of directors. He is the President of Global
Investment Management, Inc., serving as both Chief Executive Officer
and Chief Investment Officer. Ram founded GIM in 1982 and presently
manages approximately $150 million USD for high net worth
individuals, pension plans, and trusts.
During the
course of his career, Ram developed proprietary valuation models for
the U.S.and international equity markets. He has gained considerable
public and professional attention for the manner in which he has
applied his highly successful quantitative research capabilities to
portfolio management. He is consistently rated among top 250 wealth
managers in the
United States
for the past ten years by leading financial magazines such as
Barron’s, Worth, Medical Economics, and Bloomberg Wealth Manager.
Ram previously wrote the weekly column, “The Market View,” for the
Trenton Times. In addition, he widely quoted in the press including
The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Business Week,
as well as in many other professional journals and news papers. Ram
is often invited as a speaker and panelist at numerous professional
meetings and has appeared on CNN, CNN/fn, CNBC, PBS, and Bloomberg
Radio and Television.
Ram began his
career with Wind & Wind CPA’s as an accountant. He then went to CBS,
Inc. as a financial analyst. He also worked for Merrill Lynch which
he left to found Global Investment Management.
Ram holds a B.Sc
in Mathematics from Andhra
University in India
and an M.B.A. in Finance from
Pace University, New York,
NY. He also holds certificates as a Chartered Accountant in
India and a Certified Financial Planner from
the College of
Financial Planning in
Denver, Colorado.
Ram has been
involved in numerous other activities. He served as president (1979
- 1981) and member of the Board of Trustees (2002 - Present) of The
Mercer County Indian Cultural Association (currently known as the
Indian Foundation of Metropolitan Princeton). He is a Charter
Member (1984 - 1994) & President (1994) of the Rotary Club of
Princeton Corridor,
Princeton NJ
and was named the Paul Harris Fellow for community service. Ram is
also the Founding President (1995 - 2003) & Chairman of the Board of
trustees (2003 to present) of the Indian American Civic Forum.
Born in
India, Ram migrated to
USA in 1973 and is a naturalized citizen of the
United States. He lives in
Princeton Junction, New
Jersey.
