As the Executive
Vice President, Finance & Methodology of WS+B GA, Ray is
instrumental in aligning the development and overall approach and
methodologies with the firm's business goals and for providing risk
assurance services to our clients. Ray has more than 30 years of
professional experience in accounting and auditing and is a licensed
certified public accountant in New Jersey. Ray is also an accounting
and auditing shareholder in the Morristown office of WS+B GA's
parent company, WithumSmith+Brown, P.C. (www.withum.com).
Before joining WS+B GA, Ray provided corporate governance consulting
services to a variety of companies. Previously, he was the CFO of a
publicly-owned company where he was responsible for all financial,
accounting, and control functions, including internal and external
SEC reporting, multinational consolidation, taxes and audit
coordination. Prior to that, he worked for Ernst & Young for 25
years where, as a partner, he worked on numerous SEC engagements and
coordinated IPOs and private placement offerings for several
clients. Ray has represented clients before the SEC and other
regulatory agencies on specific accounting and regulatory issues. He
has also performed a number of due diligence reviews on acquisition
targets, focusing on risk assessment, valuation, operations
integration and contract structure.
Ray is a graduate of Rutgers University, where he received his
bachelor's degree in business administration and his MBA in
accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of Certified
Public Accountants (NJSCPA). He has served as trustee and president
of the Scholarship Trust and he has also chaired several scholarship
fund-raising campaigns for the NJSCPA. In addition, Ray serves as
Treasurer of his local church. He resides in Bergen County, NJ.
